Sorry this isn't LW related, but I thought everyone would be interested.
Alpha Paint does in fact work in real time directly on the Toaster frame
buffer. No flashing, no periodic updates, no goofy HAM8 displays, and no
stinkin render button. And all things considered, it is quite fast (and
I have a slow beta version). Even with a good sized, multi-colored, edge
feathered, transparent brush, Alpha Paint keeps good pace with your strokes.
And it does a pretty good job of *not* squaring off the corners of your
curves when you move faster than it can draw. Also, it works great with
my pressure sensitive CalComp tablet.
PS. Thanks for accomodating me by changing the reply method while I was
on vacation :-) It kept my accumulated messages to just under 700.
